The Detroit Pistons entered the year with high hopes, but currently find themselves outside the playoff picture. Center Andre Drummond has more than the losing to deal with on his plate though, as he's been getting dissed publically by ex-girlfriend Jennette McCurdy.
The diminuitive co-star of iCarly alongside Miranda Cosgrove went on the Pete Holmes podcast and had dished some serious dirt on Drummond. According to McCurdy, she only heard of Drummond after he named her as his "Woman Crush Wednesday" on Twitter, and only began chatting him up because he "seemed like a big deal."
The pair became a hit on social media, primarily because the massive size of Drummond made their pictures stand out. The TV starlet said things were rocky from the get-go though, as their first few talks "gave [her] pause."
She proceeded to go on a couple of dates, which raised the internet profiles all parties involved, and finally kissed him. McCurdy said the kiss did not go well. After a laser tag date they locked lips, which left McCurdy a bit cold apparently.
"It just didn't go great ... no sparks. The mouths ... the shapes weren't right." Poor Drummond liked her so much he got on a knee and asked him to be his girlfriend, to which she responded yes. Despite that, she admitted she broke up with him on the phone a few days later.
Drummond is taking the high road, telling TMZ I found [Jennette's comments] funny. There's a lot of false info in there, but I'll be the mature person about the situation and let it die out."
He also posted a Vine video in which he says, "Sometimes you gotta live and learn by the mistakes you make. You gotta move on and keep pushing."
The bad break up and poor Pistons record haven't slowed his personal momentum on the court though; he's averaging 13.2 points and 12.9 rebounds a night.
