Brett Favre retirement: Favre's new look drawing comparisons to Zeus, Santa and Grizzly Adams [VIDEO]

A recent photo of former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre has conjured up a guessing game of whom Favre is trying to emulate with his new look.

Steve Braband, who works with ESPN social media, tweeted a photo of Favre with white hair and a bushy white beard but looking as if he has been hitting the gym a lot since his retirement.

Along with the photo is Brand's comment: "Is Brett Favre filming 'Over The Top 2?' "

Other media have joined in suggesting whom Favre resembles. Comcast Sports Network Chicago compared Favre to a Greek god: "No word if he's starting early on a potential Zeus costume for Halloween, though throwing lightning bolts takes some serious strength."

CSN Chicago also mentioned a gig as Kris Kringle's understudy but added that Favre may have simply tired of beat up on the Chicago Bears during his 20-year NFL career and is starting a new hobby of preparing to fight grizzlies during his free time.

Which bring extramustard.si.com into the conversation. Extramustard picked up on the "grizzly" angle, posting photos of Grizzly Adams, an 1800s mountain man who was known to train grizzly bears. Extramustard even includes photos of the "Grizzly Adams" 1970s television show with actor Dan Haggerty reprising the role of Adams.

Bustedcoverage.com was one of the first online sites to post photos of Favre with his beard back in January at a GoDaddy.com Bowl function, saying only that Favre seems to be again rapidly and reminding fans that he's 44 years old, is a grandfather, and has suffered multiple concussions.

But that describes Favre only from the neck up. From the neck down, Favre appears to have found the fountain of youth.

Or he could be trying out for a Santa on steroids documentary.
