Perhaps in an attempt to quiet widening rumors about their short-lived marriage being in trouble, retired NFL star Nnamdi Asomugha not only accompanied Scandal star wife Kerry Washington to the Vanity Fair Oscar after- party Sunday night, the normally ultra-private couple openly engaged in several displays of public affection.
Washington is seven months pregnant with the couple's first child together, but recent rumors have suggested she and her NFL husband may be on the outs amid rumors the former All Pro defender might be gay.
Instances such as Asomugha being in New York during Super Bowl week and not with his wife celebrating her birthday as well as him not being by her side for a recent baby shower thrown for her by Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes have only fueled the rumors.
AtlantaWorld.com reports not only were Washington and Asomugha playing "kissy face" at the Vanity Fair event but she also posed for several pictures while making "silly faces" alongside her husband.
The website reports, though deep into her pregnancy Washington is keeping busy and is still currently filming her hit show. Reports are her real-life pregnancy will not be incorporated into the script.
A new episode of Scandal will air Thursday night on ABC at 9 p.m. EST.
