Kordell Stewart appeared on a recent episode of his ex-wife's The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show to defend himself against insinuations that she was shortchanged in divorce proceedings because of their prenup.
In explaining why the two took nearly two years to finally finalize their divorce, the former NFL quarterback told Bravo Network cast member Peter Thomas his ex wanted "some things that she can't get."
The husband of cast member Cynthia Bailey, Thomas met with Stewart "to get the real story" behind the high-profile couple's much-publicized split. While hedging as to whether or not he still loves his ex, Stewart told Thomas the two had a prenup and, in the end, he felt that was as important as any emotions.
"There's love, but then there's also business," Wetpaint.com reports the man once known as Slash told Thomas. "There's a law in the state of Georgia that talks separate property. Because she didn't pay her taxes, she lost the condo. Through that process of her not being able to be responsible, her name didn't go on this house. And being that her name didn't go on anything, I'm good."
Despite now being formally divorced, the two have continued to publicly bicker with Porsha Stewart hinting that she now suspect's her ex might be gay and there were times in their relationship where she felt her then-husband "didn't want her" physically.
