Tonight at 7:30 p.m. ET, the Minnesota Wild (35-22-10, 80 points) and Boston Bruins (45-17-5, 95 points) faceoff live from the TD Garden in Boston for the first of two meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Minnesota fans can hear all of the action on WCCO 830 while Boston fans can do the same on WBZ 1030.
Minnesota will look to improve on a downward trend that has seen it lose four of its last five while Boston is on an eight-game winning streak and sits atop the Eastern Conference heading into tonight's game.
The Bruins are playing their best hockey since November of 2011 when the team went on a 10-game winning streak, but Boston isn't worrying about counting the wins.
"We [don't] talk about the streak. We just talk about game by game, and it just seems to give us a better feeling and a better focus," coach Claude Julien said, according to NHL.com. "So that's the way you don't get content or comfortable and you keep plugging away."
The Wild received points in all four of their contests during a four-game homestand, however the team was 1-0-3 and missed a chance to get the extra point on three occasions.
"It's weird," forward Zach Parise told NHL.com. "I mean, yeah, we did lose three. But those are big points for us at the same time. But unfortunately it's still a loss and you still have that losing feeling. It's too bad because we played pretty decent in a few of the games we lost."
Parise is second on the team with 44 points off of 23 goals and 21 assists while Jason Pominville leads the way with 25 tallies and 22 helpers for 47 points and new import Matt Moulson has lit the lamp 18 times and added 22 assists to rank third on the team.
David Krejci paces the Bruins with 59 points off of 16 goals and 43 assists while Jarome Iginla has 23 markers and 30 helpers for 53 points and Milan Lucic has found the back of the net 21 times while adding 31 assists for 52 points.
Tuukka Rask will likely suit up for Boston, and is 30-14-4 with a 2.10 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage while Ilya Bryzgalov may get the nod for Minnesota and is 5-8-6 with a 2.95 GAA and a .908 save percentage.
The Wild looks to get some key points while the Bruins hope to extend their winning streak to nine games when the puck drops tonight at the TD Garden in Boston.
