March Madness: East Region analysis; Is Saint Joseph's this years Cinderella? [VIDEO]

Sports World News Guide to March Madness Bracket Games

I am very curious to see what happens in East Region because of Michigan State and Virginia. The consensus is that Michigan State should beat Virginia and the Cavaliers are getting zero respect from around the country. Its not the strongest region, but most definitely an interesting one to watch.

March Madness South Region Analysis

Favorite: Michigan State
No. 4 seed Michigan State is the favorite in the East Region, and loads of people are picking the Spartans to win the whole tournament.  Michigan State will most likely have a heartbreaking loss that will bust a majority of brackets, but they are still the favorites. Tom Izzo’s crew will come to play and will give number one seed Virginia all they can handle.

Potential Bracket Busters in First Weekend

Upset Watch: Saint Joseph's
Some have Saint Joe’s beating UConn before meeting Villanova in the round of 32. The bolder people have Saint Joe’s beating the Wildcats and that takes the cake as the biggest upset of the East. If Saint Joe’s can pull the double upset and make the Sweet 16 it will be one of the bigger upsets of the entire tournament.

Best Matchup: Iowa State v. North Carolina
The potential Iowa State v. UNC matchup is intriguing for many reasons. I like the way the Cyclones are playing at the moment and the Tar Heels are always a popular pick to make the Sweet 16. This might be Iowa State's year, however, as they are playing as well as any team in the country.

Wild Card: Virginia
It’s interesting to have a one seed be a wildcard, but this is an interesting year in the tournament. Virginia is not the favorite to come out of their region and it has to be frustrating. Virginia has played great all season and earned the ranking they have. They will see Michigan State in theory and then they can prove their worth.
