WWE rumors: Sting appearing at WrestleMania 30? Update on former WCW and TNA star signing a deal

It has been rumored for months that former WCW and TNA icon Sting was set to sign a contract with the WWE, and while there was speculation that he was not slated for a WrestleMania appearance, Sting reportedly may appear at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6.

Sting talks about wanting to have one final match with The Undertaker

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there are people within the WWE that believe Sting has indeed signed a contract with the company and will make an appearance at WrestleMania in New Orleans while the reports appear to be conflicting as some within the WWE have denied the report.

Sting was expected to face The Undertaker heading into this year's WrestleMania, but after the WWE reportedly "dragged their feet" in signing him and called it a "low priority," the organization went to the originally reported plan of having The Undertaker defend his undefeated WrestleMania streak in New Orleans against Brock Lesnar.

WWE distancing themselves from CM Punk

The WWE has talked about doing a Sting vs. Undertaker match at WrestleMania, and while it seemed like this year would be the year it would happen, nothing materialized and 'Taker will now clash with "The Beast" on April 6.

There has been some talk of having Sting be a huge part of WrestleMania 31 next year as it takes place in the Bay Area and Sting has California ties. The match between Sting and Undertaker could occur at that event, and there have even been talks of a Hall of Fame induction for Sting in 2015.

Sting said at a recent Q&A session in London that he wants to have one final match against The Undertaker at a WrestleMania and that he isn't interested in wrestling anyone else from any organization.

While it appears a Sting and Undertaker clash could headline the biggest show of the year in 2015, Sting may be appearing at this year's WrestleMania after all.
