As rumors swirl about her and Gibson being on the outs and having perhaps even been unfaithful to one another, Cole recently fielded questions from MTV about the the rumors and the release of her sixth album, telling the website "I just want to get it all out and not really speak about it, because it's a different thing when you speak about it. "Especially when you have a son and that being his father."
The recent MTV sitdown marks an emotional week for the 32-year-old R&B diva, who on Monday engaged in a heated exchange with an Atlanta based radio host after she was asked if she felt she was "wifey material."
"I'm done wit interviews for a minute," Cole said in the aftermath of the Atlanta episode. That interview left a very bad taste. And to be honest, I don't deserve that kinda treatment."
As for album, Cole has dropped two singles, the spicy Rick James and the slow ballad Next Time (Won't Give My Heart). MTV reports both songs deal with hurtful breakups and Cole has already warned fans much of the album "sorta" deals with man bashing.
Cole and Gibson, an NBA free agent, have been married nearly three years and she recently told reporters the two are now "co-parenting" their three-year-old son while living apart.
