Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson said last month that he wished that the team would trade its first overall pick in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft, and he just may get his wish granted after all as the team is contemplating trading the pick away.

Texans owner Bob McNair said in January that the team may trade its first pick, and NFL.com has reported that the team is "trying hard" to move down in the draft and acquire "extra selections" in May.
Bleacher Report noted at the NFL Annual Meetings that the Buffalo Bills emerged as a potential trade partner.

"It is unclear who the Bills would want in a trade-up scenario," Bleacher Report's Dan Pompei wrote. "Some believe they would move up for a quarterback. They also could make good use of an offensive tackle such as Greg Robinson. And it would be something to see them pair Mario Williams with either Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack."
It has been believed that Houston would tab a quarterback with the first overall pick, however their decision to try and trade the pick could mean that they weren't sold on Blake Bortles or anyone else in the draft class that is expected to go No. 1 overall or within the first eight picks.
Houston may instead trade the pick to nab an extra pick from Buffalo and draft a young arm with the No. 9 pick that the Bills would give to them.
Buffalo seems to be content at quarterback as NFL.com reports that general manager Doug Whaley said on Monday that the team is "all-in" with second-year quarterback E.J. Manuel leading the team this season.
It remains to be seen if Houston would pull the trigger and become just the sixth team since 1990 and first since 2001 to trade away its first overall pick. Johnson said last month that it's exactly what he would do if he were in charge.
"I have thought about different scenarios," Johnson told KTRK-TV in Houston last month, according to NFL.com. "Me personally, if I had it, I would probably trade it, but that's just my opinion. That doesn't make it right, doesn't mean they should listen to me, because I am not the GM. I have never had to sit in the draft room like that."
If reports coming out of the meetings are any indication, Houston is in fact listening to their top receiver.
