In the hours before he was to meet with top brass of the Washington Redskins, DeSean Jackson was in L.A. hanging out with his new would-be signal-caller Robert Griffin III.
According to TMZ Sports, the two spent the weekend together in Jackson's boyhood town before the newly released Pro Bowl receiver boarded a private plane geared for the Washington D.C. area.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced last week they were severing ties with Jackson after reports surfaced of his alleged gang ties and relationships with characters the team deems unsavory. Several media outlets have also reported team had become so concerned with Jackson's behaviour they feared it might rub off on some of the team;s younger players.
Despite all the recent drama, TMZ now reports Jackson appears wholeheartedly focussed on football and has been training like a maniac. The website adds several teams have expressed interest in Jackson, with the Redskins and owner Daniel Snyder being among the first to actually meet with him.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Jackson had three years remaining on a five year deal he signed with the Eagles in 2012 and was still owed more than $30 million on the deal.
