Adrien Broner next fight: 'Problem' not trash talking Carlos Molina, gets 'hell of a check' despite Maidana loss [VIDEO]

Adrien Broner may have taken a beating from Marcos Maidana in December that derailed his pay-per-view headlining dreams for the time being, but it didn't destroy his confidence. Despite being relegated to undercard status on May 3, while Maidana faces Floyd Mayweather Jr., the "Problem" is ready to return to the elite ranks.

Is Broner a better puncher than Floyd?

"At the end of the day, I'm still getting a hell of a check," Broner said displaying some of the brashness that caused fans to revel in his misery vs. El Chino. "So I don't care if it's on the undercard, the overcard or the sidecard."

Broner's managed to find the sunny side of being knocked down twice in the biggest fight of his career. "Anybody with the pedestal they put me on, anybody taking the loss that I did, it'd probably break them. But coming where I come from, you know, I'm strong mentally and physically. So I'm okay, I'm perfectly fine with myself."

"Big bro" tells Broner to rap, Tweet less

He's slated to face Carlos Molina on the Mayweather-Maidana card at 140 lbs., a step down in weight from Broner's two previous fights. Molina is 17-1-1 with seven knockouts, and lost in his last fight in the 10th round to Amir Khan.

Broner's infamous for his trash talking and disrespectful behavior leading up to fights, but he's changed his tact for Molina. "I just want him to be on his A-game, because this is not only a fight for me, but one of the biggest fights in the world," Broner said.

"They're looking at me to take over the game when my big brother's (Floyd Mayweather Jr.) is done with boxing, and coming off a loss they want to see what I come back and do." Broner's humble act faded just a bit, but he turned it into self-promotion rather than aggravating Molina.

"And they can't wait to see me on TV again. I know a lot of people dislike the things that I do, but there's a lot of people that love the things that I do and they want to see Adrien Broner back on top. I will not disappoint anyone who loves to see me lose or loves to see me win, because I'm going to put on a show."
