NFL free agency 2014: NFC North team grades; Bears Super Bowl contender? Lions, Packers fighting for second in division? [VIDEO]

Free agency is winding down and some teams have done better than others. Over the next week we will grade out how each team did overall, including their losses and their additions.

Sports World News NFL Mock Draft 4.0

Chicago Bears
Key Additions:
 DE Lamarr Houston
Key Departures: QB Josh McCown
Analysis: The Bears lost one pass rusher in Peppers, but gained so much more. Grabbing Houston, Young and Jared Allen will prove to be an incredible upgrade. Losing McCown isn't as huge as you would think and there are rumors of the Bears brining in Josh Freeman. The Bears look to be all in for 2014 and beyond.
Grade: A

Detroit Lions
Key Additions:
 WR Golden Tate
Key Departures: DE Willie Young
Analysis: The Lions improved the defense and most importantly the secondary. Losing Young stings, but he can be replaced in the draft. Golden Tate is the true No. 2 receiver the Lions have lacked for most of Calvin Johnson’s career. The Lions have many options in the draft, but most of their glaring needs have been filled via free agency.
Grade: B

Green Bay Packers
Key Additions:
 DE Julius Peppers
Key Departures: WR James Jones
Analysis: The Packers kept most the defense together while signing Peppers. The Packers will seek to get younger and faster in the draft, but Peppers brings a proven veteran presence to a defense what has been lacking. James Jones isn't in town anymore, but with Aaron Rodgers the Packers have shown they can make anyone into a productive wide receiver.
Grade: B-

Minnesota Vikings
Key Additions:
 DT Linval Joseph
Key Departures: RB Toby Gerhart
Analysis: The only worry the Vikings have now is finding a new quarterback and a change of pace running back. There are only son many years that Adrian Peterson will be able to handle the workload the Vikings demand. Joseph is a great under the radar signing that will improve a stout Viking defensive line.
Grade: B
