The Masters 2014 Coverage: Jordan Spieth tied for lead, can become youngest winner in history

Can 20-year-old Jordan Spieth set history and become the youngest winner of the Masters?

Spieth attempts to re-write the history books when he enters the final day of the Augusta classic tied with Bubba Watson for the lead, with the 2012 champion slowly losing momentum after struggling for most of Saturday's play.

"I'm 20 and this is the Masters, and this is the tournament I've always dreamt about," said Spieth via Golf.com. "And like Mr. [Ben] Crenshaw has always said, it brings out more emotion than ever in somebody."

Tiger Woods is the youngest player to have won the Masters, capturing it in 1997 when he was 21.

On Saturday, Spieth shot a two-under-par 70 while Watson shot a 74 to tie the latter for the lead entering the final day of competition.

'If somebody told me I would have shot two-over and still be tied for the lead, I would have taken it in a heartbeat,'' Watson told AP via Yahoo! Sports. ''So I got a shot on Sunday.''

While Spieth is looking to become the youngest winner in the history of the Masters and the only golfer to win the tournament in his first attempt in 35 years, Watson is also attempting for some sort of record: becoming only the eighth golfer to win the Masters in a span of three years.

Said Spieth about the final day of competition via LA Times: "Tomorrow is about seeing how I can control my game and emotions out on the golf course against guys that have even won here recently. Doesn't necessarily mean, I don't think, that they had an advantage in any way."
