RED SOX vs YANKEES Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from NEW YORK

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET the greatest rivalry in baseball will play out on Sunday Night Baseball for the first time in 2014. Watch the Boston Red Sox (5-7) try to even the four-game series tonight against the New York Yankees (6-6) on ESPN, or live stream it free here. Red Sox fans can find the radio broadcast on 93.7 WEEI, while Yankees fans may do likewise by turning the dial to 101.9 WFAN FM. The Sox will send Felix Doubront (1-1, 9.00 ERA) to the mound, and the Yanks will counter with Ivan Nova (1-1, 8.68 ERA).

The Yankees had a power explosion yesterday in which they socked five home runs, including two from catcher Brian McCann, who had been struggling mightily. "He's hit the ball better than his numbers indicated," manager Joe Girardi said. "I was not really concerned about it. I know he's going to hit."

They will also have "The Captain" Derek Jeter back in the lineup after he took the day off yesterday. In his final season fans were probably disappointed they didn't get to see him yesterday, but Girardi noted his importance to the team's success this year as well as his age.

"I have to manage him with the focus of winning games and keeping him healthy, not it being a farewell tour," Girardi told the team's official website. "It's not the last week of the season and these games are obviously important to us -- today, tomorrow, the next month. I have to manage that."

Boston is two games under .500 right now, and although it's very early for the defending World Series champions their offense has been worrisome.

"We're doing what we can. Trying different things as far as the lineup goes, trying different combinations to get a little bit of a jump start. It's required our starters to come out of the bullpen ready to roll from the first inning on," manager John Farrell said.

They might be able to get it going vs. Nova, who has been wild and hittable through his first two starts. Unfortunately for Boston, Doubront hasn't been much better. This could be a slugfest in the Bronx.
