San Francisco 49ers star quarterback Colin Kaepernick appears unfazed by all the controversy swirling around him based on his alleged involvement in a sexual assault case, jetting to L.A. over the weekend where he casually strolled a trendy shopping district looking for sunglasses.
Meanwhile, police in Miami, where the alleged incident took place earlier this month involving a 25-year-old woman, told TMZ they are awaiting the results of a toxicology report performed on the woman after she was escorted to the Jackson Memorial Hospital emergency room by Miami Fire Rescue on the night of April 1.
A Miami police department spokesperson previously told reporters emergency responders were also sent to the Viceroy Hotel on the night in question and presumably evidence gathered in that search is also still be evaluated.
Colin Kaepernick investigated for sex assault
The alleged victim has admitted to police she freely went back to the hotel with Kaepernick and fellow NFL players Quinton Patton and Ricardo Lockette, where they all reportedly smoked marijuana and drank together. She further claims that she and Kaepernick, who she admits having a previous sexual relationship with, were kissing and alone together before she allegedly blacked out and awoke at the hospital.

Since the allegations were made public, the 26-year-old Kaepernick has vehemently proclaimed his innocence, taking to social media over the weekend where he posted "I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up."
