According to TMZ, the medical examiner conducted his autopsy last week and revealed that The Warrior died of a massive heart attack and officials told the site that he passed away due to "Atherosclerotic/Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease," more commonly known as heart disease.

The report states that the medical examiner classified the death as natural, meaning that alcohol and drugs did not play a factor in his passing. The Warrior was walking to his car with his family last Tuesday at a hotel in Arizona when he collapsed in the hallway and was rushed to a hospital, where he eventually died.

Iron Sheik sounds off on Nancy Grace on Twitter

The death of the WWE legend occurred just one day after he appeared on Monday Night RAW for the first time in 18 years and cut a haunting promo about death, which some took as him almost foreshadowing his own demise the following day.

The Warrior was honored the weekend before his death by the WWE after he made amends with the company and CEO Vince McMahon, allowing his career to come full circle as he was welcomed back to the WWE family for an induction into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5 and even appeared at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans to be honored in front of the crowd the next night.

The former WWE World Champion was a known steroid user and was the center of controversy after Nancy Grace incorrectly stated that his death --along with late wrestler Owen Hart who died from a tragic fall during a 1999 pay-per-view --was linked to steroids, which led to backlash from several wrestlers and fans.

The Warrior leaves behind two daughters and his wife Dana, and while he is no longer in the wrestling community, his legacy will live on forever in the hearts of many WWE and wrestling fans.
