There is a new WWE Divas Champion in town by way of Norwich, England, and her name is Paige. And while Paige has certainly shocked the WWE Universe over the past two weeks beginning with her incredible Divas Championship win over AJ Lee on the episode of Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania XXX, Paige's instant success on the main stage is no surprise to any viewer of WWE NXT on the WWE Network.

Since Day 1 on NXT, Paige has been much like the name of her finishing move, a real "Paige Turner" in WWE. Paige's matches with Emma, another recent call-up from NXT to WWE, have been nothing short of spectacular, especially when you come to realize that Paige is just 21 and Emma is merely 24 years-old. They both have continually proved that they are wise beyond their years in the wrestling ring, and you can see how well they work together from this clip of their match from the WWE Network special NXT ArRival from this past February:
While Emma has shown some potential in the relatively short time she's been on WWE TV, she has been mostly relegated to being Santino Marella's awkward friend, dance partner, and valet.
Meanwhile, Paige, on her first night on Raw, was able to do this thanks to now-former Divas Champion AJ Lee's hubris:
No matter what rivalries WWE conjures up for Paige in the future - it's safe to say that she will be a real force in the Divas division for years to come.
And, after years of struggling to find the right mix of WWE Divas to really enhance the product - or years of blatant ignorance and mismanagement on WWE's part - with Paige, Emma, the Bella Twins, Natalya, AJ Lee and others, things are truly looking up for the women of WWE.
Just don't ask Paige to give up her NXT Women's or WWE Divas Championships anytime soon.
