The ratings for the post-WrestleMania XXX week of WWE Monday Night Raw are in for the show airing Monday 4/14/14, and WWE got some good news on that front. Also, conspicuous by his absence was WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, who was curiously nowhere to be seen on Monday night. Why was the leader of the YES! Movement not on Raw?
First, let's get to the ratings.
For the three-hour TV broadcast on USA Network, Raw ratings were 4.81 for the first hour, 4.83 for the second hour, and 4.67 for the third hour, with an average of 4.76 million viewers tuning in for the episode. This made WWE's flagship show the #1 show on cable on Monday night, as reported by The Wrestling Observer.
As for Daniel Bryan's absence from Raw, the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and his wife - WWE Diva and Total Divas star Brie Bella of the Bella Twins - were married this past Friday, April 11th. As a result of their wedding in Sedona, Arizona, Bryan and Brie were actually given rare time off from WWE to go on their honeymoon.
If anyone deserved a break for one week, it was Daniel Bryan, who wrestled two grueling matches at WrestleMania XXX and still had matches on Raw and SmackDown last week despite the upcoming nuptials.
