WWE Main Event spoilers and results featuring a Divas Championship #1 Contender's Match with the winner getting a title shot against WWE Divas Champion Paige. After surviving a tough match against Alicia Fox on Monday Night Raw and due to the vacancy left by AJ Lee's self-imposed leave absence from WWE, Paige was left without a challenger for her title.
However, WWE Main Event fixed all of that this past Tuesday 4/15/14, when many of the WWE Divas were involved in a Battle Royal to determine the new #1 contender. The Divas who were entered into the match included Nikki Bella, AJ Lee's former partner Tamina Snuka, Emma, Fandango's new dance partner Layla, Aksana, Naomi, Cameron, Natalya, Eva Marie and Alicia Fox.
Conspicuous by her absence was the other half of the Bella Twins, Brie Bella, but Brie is currently on her honeymoon with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan following their Bohemian wedding last Friday.
The question is, who won this Divas battle royal and will move on to face Paige for the Divas Championship?
As you can see, it was none other than Tamina Snuka, who has now broken from the shadows of AJ Lee's 295-day championship reign to become a force in the Divas division in her own right.
As for AJ Lee, she remains on hiatus from WWE following her loss to Paige on the Raw after WrestleMania XXX, and there is no timetable for her return. I am sure she and fiancé CM Punk will find plenty to do together in the meantime.
