PAULIE MALIGNAGGI vs SHAWN PORTER Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage

Paulie Malignaggi is coming off impressive outings in his past two fights, a close loss to Adrien Broner and a surprisingly dominant win over Zab Judah, and now he's got himself a title shot against IBF welterweight champion Shawn Porter. Tune in to Showtime for a packed card at 9:30 p.m. ET or live stream the fights by clicking this link.

Malignaggi, (33-5-0, 7 KO) is known as a wily, slick fighter with next to zero punching power. Because of that, he's taken lightly more often than not against up-and-comers such as Broner or Porter. Paulie, a commentator for Showtime when he's not in the ring, knows all of that and has chose to ignore it.

"I respect Shawn. He's a good champion, he's a hungry champion, but I feel like I have the experience necessary to put this work into place and get this third world championship. It feels good to still be here. I'm 33 years old, still going strong. Shawn worked hard for his, but it's a world championship that I want and now I got the chance to do it," Malignaggi said.

Porter (23-0-1, 14 KO) is young and hungry though, and coming off a thorough beating of respected veteran Devon Alexander. He took it to him for 12 rounds, and took his title while showing power in the process.

"I've been bred that way. I've been trained that way my whole life. I've always been taught to be hungry, be aggressive, and not to allow someone to get comfortable in the ring, and that's going to always be my mentality against whoever it is I'm going to be fighting," Porter said.

That makes tonight's matchup intriguing. Porter's aggression against Malignaggi's defense and peppering should be fun to watch, with Porter's name blowing up should he get the win. Sports World News Prediction: Porter by UD.
