WWE SmackDown [SPOILERS]: Match results of SmackDown tapings from Hershey, Pa

Reports indicate that the following was taped on Tuesday night for the edition of WWE SmackDown set to air this Friday, April 25 from Hershey, Pa. as the WWE continues to build towards the Extreme Rules event on May 4 from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J.

Daniel Bryan to miss time until Extreme Rules

In the main event, The Shield was placed in a six-on-three handicap match against Titus O'Neil, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Alberto Del Rio, Bad News Barrett and Damien Sandow. In the end, Barrett ran backstage as The Shield cleared the ring. Axel took a Superman Punch from Roman Reigns and Sandow took a spear and The Shield won. The trio then hit the triple powerbomb on Ryback to end the show.

The match was originally an 11-on-three match, but The Shield attacked different Superstars throughout the night to even the odds.

Paul Heyman mentions CM Punk during Monday Night RAW

Vickie Guerrero announced the main event during the opening segment of the show which featured a debate between Paul Heyman and Zeb Colter where they argued over Cesaro defecting from The Real Americans to join Heyman.

Colter wanted answers and Heyman kept talking about how Brock Lesnar ended The Streak and that Cesaro was already a Paul Heyman Guy when he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania. They shoved each other to end it.

Cesaro then defeated Jack Swagger via the Neutralizer, after which The Shield came out to attack Swagger and hit him with the triple powerbomb. The Shield then attacked 3MB backstage during a promo to take them out of the main event along with Swagger.

In a backstage segment, Guerrero called Triple H about The Shield and said that she called them to her office but they didn't come. Triple H then gave her the night off and handed the reins to Brad Maddox. In a later segment, Maddox was on the phone and was attacked by The Shield.

The Wyatt Family cut a promo inside a Steel Cage where Wyatt talked about facing John Cena and sang about the whole world being in his hands. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper then defeated Goldust and Cody Rhodes during a match where Wyatt taunted the crowd on the outside and said that Rhodes and Goldust aren't the future. The finish saw Goldust running into Rhodes on a moonsault attempt and getting pinned. Goldust was upset after the match.

In other action, Curtis Axel defeated Jey Uso while Tamina Snuka defeated Natalya with a kick. A match pitting Emma and Santino against Fandango and Layla never occurred after because The Shield attacked Fandango and triple powerbombed him through two tables off of the stage.

This episode of SmackDown airs just nine nights before Extreme Rules and focused mostly on The Shield thwarting the attempts of Evolution to stack the odds against them.
