NFL draft invitees revealed: QB prospect declines invite to New York, Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater to New York? [VIDEO]

The complete list of invitees to the NFL Draft has been announced and the list has all the usual suspects as well as a few surprises. Of the record 31 players that were invited, Derek Carr was the only player to decline his invitation.

Of the players attending a few might regret their decision and slide way past their projected spot and have the very long wait on national television. Which three player will have a longer wait than expected come May 8th?

Cyrus Kouandjio: Kouandjio was in the conversation with the three elite tackle prospects a few months ago, but then the wheels came off. He had a terrible combine where he couldn't work out for scouts due to a bum knee that many doctors argued over. Some said he had arthritis in the knee while Dr. James Andrews said he was good to go. Kouandjio’s stock never quite recovered and the odds of him being a first round pick are slim. The Panthers would be a fit, but they could possibly get him in the second round.

Jordan Matthews: Matthews name has come up with some first round mocks, but I don't think that is realistic. Matthews has the talent to be a contributor in the NFL and could develop into a fine receiver, but in a draft that is loaded at receiver he doesn’t grade out as a first rounder.

Quarterbacks: Going to the draft as a quarterback is risky.  Previous quarterbacks that have had the dreaded wait on national television have included players from Aaron Rodgers to Brady Quinn. If any of the attendees, which includes Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater and Garoppolo, slips out of the first round, they will become a national story overnight. When Geno Smith slipped into day two the likes of ESPN and all the others asked the terrible questions like: will he go back for day two? Is he emotionally strong enough to overcome this? It is a tough spot to be for the quarterbacks in what the media is calling “The most unpredictable quarterback class ever”.
