Detroit Lions willing to trade accused dirty player Ndamukong Suh to move up in draft to take Jadeveon Clowney? [VIDEO]

Like most teams not in a position to draft Jadeveon Clowney, the Detroit Lions would love to have South Carolina defensive end on their team. Unlike most of the other teams, the Lions have a potential Hall of Famer they may dangle to move up to get him.

SB Nation's acmepackingcompany.com posted tweets from NewEraScouting.com reporter Scott Bischoff that indicated that the Lions have discussed unloading defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to move up in the draft.

The enigmatic Suh, for all his bizarre behaviors, remains one of the best defensive linemen in the NFL. According to NFLTradeRumors.com, Pro Football Focus rated Suh as the No. 2 defensive end in the league.

But NFLTradeRumors.com added that the Lions have been bringing in prospects for visits that many draft analysts believe will be gone by the time Detroit is on the clock with the No. 10 overall selection - Clowney, linebacker Khalil Mack and wide receiver Sammy Watkins.

The Detroit Free Press indicated that "a growing sense in league circles" exists that the Lions may try to move up to take Watkins.

Acmepackingcompany.com added that the Lions could save $2.9 million from their salary cap in 2014 and nearly $10 million in 2015 by unloading Suh.

As acmepackingcompany.com noted, the Lions would be taking a huge gamble on a draft pick that comes with no guarantees about his level of play while trading away arguably the team's best defensive player and a rising star in the league.

But Suh, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, has yet to make progress on a long-term deal with the Lions, NFLTradeRumors.com reports. Plus, Suh has not reported to Detroit's voluntary team workouts that began on Tuesday.

That adds to the growing drama of Suh's future in Detroit, which is suddenly in doubt.
