WWE SmackDown [SPOILERS]: Match Results Of Final SmackDown Tapings Before Extreme Rules 2014 From Kansas City

Reports indicate that the following was taped for the episode of SmackDown that is set to air this Friday from Kansas City in the final SmackDown episode before Extreme Rules 2014 at the Izod Center from East Rutherford, N.J.

5 Great Matches From Past Extreme Rules Events

 In the main event of the evening, Dean Ambrose defeated Curtis Axel, Ryback and Alberto Del Rio in a Fatal 4 Way match to retain the United States Championship. Ryback had the match won when Axel broke up the pin and Ambrose was eventually able to defeat Axel to retain. After the match, a brawl erupted and The Shield hit the Triple Powerbomb on Axel.

Daniel Bryan appeared on SmackDown and was wearing a neck brace to sell the attack from Kane. Bryan cut a promo on his match with The Monster at Extreme Rules. Kane's pyro then went off and he cut a promo from the video screen.

SmackDown kicked off with a contract signing between El Torito and Hornswoggle. Elsewhere on the program, Rob Van Dam defeated Jack Swagger with a Five-Star Frog Splash after Cesaro, who was on commentary with Paul Heyman, punched Swagger from the outside. Cesaro then attacked RVD after the match.

In six-man action, The Wyatt Family defeated The Usos and Sheamus after Bray Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on Jey Uso to pick up the win. All six fought after the match and The Wyatt's posed above a prone Jey Uso after the brawl ended.

Other results saw Alexander Rusev defeat R-Truth after interference by Xavier Woods caused Truth to be disqualified, Dolph Ziggler top Damien Sandow, and Big E defeat Titus O'Neil via DQ after O'Neil wouldn't break a hold at a five-count. The two reportedly had a brutal brawl that saw a vicious table bump from Big E.

This episode of SmackDown airs just two nights before Extreme Rules and focused on several storylines heading into the pay-per-view.
