San Diego Chargers News [VIDEO]: Chargers LB Thomas Keiser Beats Bar Employee, Receives Probation

San Diego Chargers defensive end Thomas Keiser is used to tackling opponents on the gridiron, but news has come out and a video has leaked of Keiser using his on-field skills at a bar in the winter when he tackled a bar employee and punched him repeatedly after throwing him to the floor.

According to Deadspin, the linebacker went out with a relative to the Barleymash local bar after the Chargers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs to earn a playoff spot. According to the report, Keiser got drunk there and ended up tackling and punching the employee after he was cut off from drinking and asked to leave.

ABC 10 reported the original story and gave this take on what happened:

"Sources said a manager told Keiser's father he was cut off from the bar because he had too much to drink, the affiliate states. "The linebacker bought another round anyway, and that is when the manager threw father and son both out, according to a source. A source said Keiser then re-entered the bar and attacked the employee in what the owners called an ambush."

Keiser was eventually charged with misdemeanor battery and posted bail on $8,000. He then pled guilty on March 24 in a plea deal where he received a fine, probation and 20 hours of anger management counseling.

Keiser will enter his second year of a two-year deal in 2014-15 after playing in 12 games last season and amounting 17 tackles, 4.5 sacks and an interception.
