Floyd Mayweather Jr. Accused of Harassing Another Boxer's Wife

Floyd Mayweather Jr., the pound-for-pound boxing king and no stranger to controversy, has been accused of harassing the wife of Cornelius "K9" Bundrage during Bundrage's February 23rd bout against Ishe Smith.

Detroit News columnist Terry Foster aired out some bad behavior by "Money" Mayweather, claiming he gyrated his hips in front of Shawana Bundrage's face and yelled at her while she watched her husband in the ring. In his column Foster wrote, "Shawana Bundrage did not deserve to have a man gyrate his hips around her face while watching husband Cornelius Bundrage fight in the ring last week at the Masonic Temple. She did not deserve a grown man getting in her face and screaming while minding her own business. She also did not deserve the laughter that surrounded this despicable act that was captured by our photographer, Clarence Tabb Jr." He also mocked Mayweather's cap that read: Money, Power, Respect. "Mayweather showed he had the money and power. He certainly did not show respect, although I am sure he wants everybody to respect him."

Mayweather would not comment on the story, but Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, vehemently denied Foster's allegations. According to Ellerbe, Shawana Bundrage, who is K9's manager, trash talked Mayweather saying her husband would beat Ishe Smith (Mayweather's fighter) and then move on to beat him too. He went on to say "Floyd said nothing harassing to her and he did nothing to harass her. He was trash talking her, but she was trash talking him. This was written by a hometown reporter who I guess was upset that the hometown boy [Bundrage] lost.

Shawana Bundrage would not comment on specifics, saying she did not want to glorify Mayweather's.

Mayweather had a heavy presence during the February 23rd Showtime telecast, between serving as the trainer of J'Leon Love, who fought on the undercard, and doing a lengthy interview in between fights. Mayweather just signed a big money deal with Showtime that will allow him to fight six times over the next 30 months. The first fight will be on May 4th against Robert Guerrero.
