Extreme Rules 2014 Results [VIDEO]: Daniel Bryan beats Kane, Bray Wyatt beats John Cena and The Shield tops Evolution

The WWE presented Extreme Rules tonight live from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. in what proved to be a memorable night for the company.

In the main event, Daniel Bryan defeated Kane in an Extreme Rules match to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The match was a brawl that spilled all over the arena and included weapons such as tables, kendo sticks, steel chairs and even a forklift - which Bryan did a flying headbutt off of. The ending saw Bryan knock Kane through a table set on fire and then hit him with the Knee Plus to win the match.

Bray Wyatt defeated John Cena in a Steel Cage match via escape of the cage. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper got involved throughout the match, but Cena fended them off and laid the entire Wyatt Family out. When he went to escape the cage, the lights came out and when they came back on a choir kid ominously sang, distracting Cena. Wyatt then hit Sister Abigail and walked out of the cage door.

In a six-man tag team match, The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) defeated Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista) in a chaotic back-and-fourth match that saw Reigns pin Batista to earn the win following a spear after Triple H, Orton, Rollins and Ambrose fought into the crowd.

There is a new WWE Intercontinental Champion as Bad News Barrett defeated Big E to win the title via pinfall. Paige successfully defended her WWE Divas Championship by defeating Tamina Snuka via submission.

The show opened with a three way elimination match between Cesaro, Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger. Swagger was the first man eliminated after RVD hit him with the Five Star Frog Splash. Cesaro then pinned Van Dam to win the match after RVD missed a frog splash and Cesaro hit the Neutralizer on Van Dam on top of a trashcan to earn the win.

Alexander Rusev defeated R-Truth and Xavier Woods in a handicap match after he hit the Accolade on Woods and got the victory.
