Rams looking at Johnny Manziel as backup to Sam Bradford?
Fox Sports' Jay Glazer tweeted Tuesday that the Cleveland Browns will not select the Texas A&M quarterback and 2012 Heisman Trophy winner with the second pick in the NFL Draft.

On Monday, the Oakland Raiders reportedly were not going to spend their No. 5 pick on either Manziel or Central Florida quarterback Blake Bortles because they already have former Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub on board as their likely starter for 2014.
CBSSports.com reported that Glazer also took ESPN and NFL Network to task for reporting the Browns intended to take Manziel and the owner Jimmy Haslam's infatuation with the quarterback, respectively.

"ESPN has reported all night that the Cleveland Browns are taking Johnny Manziel, and I am here to tell you they are not," Glazer told Fox Sports Radio. "NFL Network, I know they had come out and said well Jimmy Haslam has told everybody in the room that he wants it to happen, that is not happening. In fact, it's the other way. Jimmy Haslam has walked into the Brown's draft room and said, 'Hey guys, this is not what I do for a living, it's what you do for a living. Whatever you do, I trust.' There has not been some edict like that. I have no idea where that came from, but that's not happening."
In another CBSSports.com report, St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher said that if his organization does draft a quarterback, that player will come in as a backup to Sam Bradford.
"With respect to Sam, he's our starter. As you guys know, that was the reason I took this job was for our owner and because of Sam, our quarterback. We have all the confidence in the world that he'll be back. But, we also have the responsibility to continue to upgrade this roster as it would suggest. If the right guy is there to help in a back-up role to Sam, then we'll make sure we've done our due diligence."
Fisher added that the Rams are not shopping Bradford, so it's uncertain whether they would use their No. 2 overall pick on a quarterback they don't expect to play in 2014 when they are trying to compete in the NFL's toughest division with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals.
