METS vs MARLINS Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: MLB Live Coverage MIAMI

Today at 12:40 p.m. ET, the New York Mets (16-16) and Miami Marlins (18-15) take the field at Marlins Park in Miami for the third and final game of their series. The game can be live streamed here. New York fans can hear all of the action on WOR 710 while Miami fans can do the same 940 WINZ.

New York looks to avoid a sweep and falling under .500 while it also hopes to close a 2-5 road trip on a positive note while Miami looks for the clean sweep and its fourth win in a row as it enters 7-1 in the last game of their nine-game homestand.

Zack Wheeler (1-3, 5.13 ERA) takes the mound for the Mets while the Marlins counter with Tom Koehler (3-2, 2.14 ERA).

Koehler expressed optimism in the Marlins ability to score runs thus far this season.

"We recognize that if we keep games close, there is a good chance that they'll come back and seize the opportunity to win the ballgame," the right-hander told MLB.com. "It's a little less taxing on us mentally."

Koehler gave up four runs in five innings to the Mets in an April 27 loss at Citi Field but bounced back against the Los Angeles Dodgers with seven shutout innings at home last time out. Wheeler will look to bounce back from giving up seven runs (six earned) in four innings against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field last time out.

The two teams find themselves immersed in a highly competitive National League East.

"Everybody's got to go through it, but this division's going to be tough," Mets manager Terry Collins said via MLB.com. "Each team's got some weapons."

New York will look to get its offense going as the team has failed to hit its stride with the bat thus far this season.

"All you can do is have good at-bats," David Wright, who is hitting .279 with a homer and 17 RBIs, said per MLB.com. "Once it leaves the bat, you have no control over it."

The Marlins have had no shortage of offense in the middle of their lineup with Giancarlo Stanton and Casey McGehee. Stanton leads the National League with 10 homers and leads the entire MLB with 38 RBIs while McGehee is hitting .309 with 21 RBIs.

The Mets look to end their road trip on a positive note while the Marlins hope to sweep the Mets out of Miami when these teams go head-to-head this afternoon at Marlins Park.
