Caitlyn Beth lived up to her word over the weekend and one-upped Lolo Jones in the process.
Houston Texans cheerleader agrees to date on Twitter with high school senior
According to Sporting News, Beth, a cheerleader for the Houston Texans, accompanied high school senior Mike Ramirez to his prom at Crosby High School in Crosby, Texas on Saturday night.
Ramirez originally secured the date in March when he sent Beth a direct message asking her whether she would go to the prom with him if he received 10,000 retweets, and she agreed.
He got more than 10,000 is just more than a day.
The Texans decided to make the date a "blind date" of sorts in that all that Beth was allowed to reveal was that her favorite color was pink and that she likes sushi.
Lolo Jones' Twitter date canceled
The report detailed the date with the two meeting at a Latin American restaurant called Churrascos for dinner before prom. Ramirez, his mother and eight of his friends arrived at the restaurant first. Then it was Beth who came with six of her fellow Texans cheerleaders - the six were dressed in cheerleading outfits - in a limousine.
Sporting News reported that journalists swarmed the limousine as Ramirez opened the door for Beth, and she got out and gave him a hug. He gave her a corsage and she gave him a boutonniere.
Ramirez told the media he hoped for a second date - or a wedding. Beth pleaded the fifth when asked about the possibility. They left for the Houston Museum of Natural Science after dinner.
Both Beth and Ramirez tweeted photos of the occasion, according to USA TODAY Sports, For the Win.
Both seemed to enjoy themselves during the evening.

Beth completed what Lolo Jones did not. Jones agreed to go out with a Georgia State student after he received 150,000 retweets of him asking her out. The student, Bubby Lyles, secured the date last summer, waited for the Winter Olympics to finish but then tweeted in February that the date was off.
He didn't give a reason.
