CUBS vs CARDINALS Watch FREE Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from ST. LOUIS

Tonight at 8:10 p.m. ET, the Chicago Cubs (12-24) and St. Louis Cardinals (19-19) take the field against each other at Busch Stadium in St. Louis for the first game in a four-game set. The game can be live streamed for free here. Chicago fans can hear all of the action on WGN 720 while St. Louis fans can do the same on KMOX 1120.

Chicago continues its nine-game road trip that it is 1-4 on so far while St. Louis opens up a 10-game homestand after going 4-5 on a nine-game road trip. The Cubs took two of three from the Cardinals in a series that ran from May 2-4.

Travis Wood (2-4, 4.75 ERA) takes the mound for the Cubs while Tyler Lyons (0-2, 3.43 ERA) toes the rubber for the Cardinals.

When Lyons is on the hill, the Cardinals bats go silent and the team will look to reverse that trend today and give their starter some support.

"It's a shame we haven't been able to score that guy any runs," Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said per MLB.com. "He's been throwing the ball very well, and today it was the best he's thrown. It was a great start."

The Cubs are coming off of being swept by the Atlanta Braves in a weekend that saw the team hit just 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position.

"We've got to do a better job understanding the situation and not getting ourselves where we're too excited. Kind of take the emotion out of it a little bit," Cubs manager Rick Renteria told MLB.com.

Chicago first baseman Anthony Rizzo is on fire as of late, as he's hitting .308 with four homers in his past 11 games and his .401 on-base percentage ranks in the top 10 in the National League while his 24 walks tie him for fourth in the N.L.

St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina will look to get going since he's mired 2-for-20 slump but he's hopeful to find his swing against the Cubs, who he is hitting 360 (9-for-25) against with two doubles and four RBIs through six meetings this season.

Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter ranks fourth in the N.L. in runs (27) and walks (24).

The Cubs and Cardinals open up their four game series tonight at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
