Indianapolis Colts Rumors: Jim Irsay Speaks at Spring Meetings; Roger Goodell to Punish Colts Owner Soon? [VIDEO]

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is still in limbo as neither his court hearings or his punishment from the NFL office has occurred yet, but Irsay did attend the NFL spring meetings and speak about his well being.

Reporters caught up to Irsay in the hallway of the meetings and spoke to him about his situation. Among other things, Irsay said he has “been such great support” from the people around him.

"I'm really not going to talk about personal medical issues or that sort of thing," said Irsay. "Just grateful to be back and have a lot of appreciation and support that I've received."

"Physically I'm feeling decent," Irsay said. "I still have a little ways to go from a rehab standpoint and everything. I'm not ready to hit the golf course yet. Eventually I'll get there, just hoping to avoid any future surgery, just continuing to physically rehab. I'm feeling OK and just trying to continue to stand up straight. The hip and back are doing okay.”

Irsay’s health has to be of paramount importance to the league, but after that there is always the question of when commissioner Roger Goodell will drop the hammer on Irsay. Irsay has a history with alcohol and controlled substances thus making him a repeat offender. Goodell has shown a zero tolerance policy on players that have violated such rules and have broken the law, but with an owner the public will watch in anticipation as he must punish one of his own.

Look for the justice system to get to Irsay before Goodell does as to not overstep his boundaries, but also look for Goodell to make an example of Irsay.
