Mark Cuban Racist Comments: Mavericks Owner Calls Donald Sterling 'Stupid,' Won't Vote Clippers Owner Out?

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban made some very interesting comments on Wednesday that can easily be misconstrued if taken the wrong way. While commenting on the plight of Clippers owner Donald Sterling in the wake of his blatantly racist remarks, Cuban made some eyebrow-raising statements of his own.

"I know I'm prejudiced, and I know I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways," Cuban said. "If I see a black kid in a hoodie on my side of the street, I'll move to the other side of the street. If I see a white guy with a shaved head and tattoos (on the side he now is on), I'll move back to the other side of the street. None of us have pure thoughts; we all live in glass houses."

When asked about how he will vote in terms of ousting Sterling from the NBA's fraternity of owners, Cuban indicated he was sure how he will vote, but didn't elaborate. "You don't," Cuban said about keeping racism out of the league. "There's no law against stupid. I'm the one guy who says don't force the stupid people to be quiet. I want to know who the morons are."

V. Stiviano has lengthy rap sheet?

Coupled with comments he made previously about the Sterling issue, one may conclude that the Mavs owner could be planning to vote against removing Sterling as an owner. Before Silver's ruling was handed down, he called removing the Clippers' boss a "slippery slope."

"Again, there's no excuse for his positions. There's no excuse for what he said. There's no excuse for anybody to support racism. There's no place for it in our league, but there's a very, very, very slippery slope," Cuban said at the time the tapes broke.

"But regardless of your background, regardless of the history they have, if we're taking something somebody said in their home and we're trying to turn it into something that leads to you being forced to divest property in any way, shape or form, that's not the United States of America. I don't want to be part of that."
