Scott Hall has had a well-documented struggle with drugs and alcohol and now there's some concern over the WWE Hall of Famers health after he told a wrestling promoter that he couldn't make an appearance because he was "in a dark place."

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Hall was scheduled for an appearance in California with his son Cody, but he told wrestling promoter Kirk White via text message that he wouldn't attend because he was in a dark place and couldn't get out of bed.
Following the incident, there is a lot of concern over Hall's well-being. The promoter gave Hall a $1,600 advance, half of what Hall was getting paid to make the appearance, and then received the text from Hall on May 16, the day Hall and Cody were set to fly out of Atlanta to San Francisco.

According to the report, Cody, Diamond Dallas Page -- who helped Hall turn his life around through DDP Yoga -- and Hall's agent Bill Behren tried to convince Hall to get out of bed and fulfill the booking, but he refused.
Behrens wrote a statement to White, who issued refunds to fans who had pre-ordered autographs and photo-ops with him.
"I regret that Scott Hall decided last minute he would not make the trip from Atlanta with his son Cody to Big Time Wrestling's WrestleFest and wrestling event," Behrens wrote in a statement. "His son, Cody Hall, Dallas Page and myself all tried to change his mind but he could not get past the personal issues that had him unwilling to travel to California. Kirk, you are a true professional who goes out of his way to deliver what he promotes and promises."
He added: "I hope the fans who attend WrestleFest and that evening's wrestling event do not feel shortchanged by Scott's decision. I am confident all who attend will have a great time. I believe it is Scott Hall's loss to have missed this opportunity to meet his many fans and to see his son Cody wrestle for the first time in California. I am sure in time he will come to regret his decision, if he has not already."
There were reports that Hall was asked months ago if he had returned to drinking and he answered by saying he hadn't had a drink that day. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, who was inducted alongside Hall in the 2014 Hall of Fame and used DDP Yoga to overcome his personal demons, told "Rowdy" Roddy Piper on his podcast that he was very concerned about Hall.
Hall appeared to be heading in the right direction when he cleaned up his life thanks to help from Page and was inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 5 in New Orleans, but now there is a lot of speculation that he may once again be in trouble.
