Andrew Bynum Rumors: Phil Jackson, New York Knicks Interested In Former Lakers Center ? [VIDEO]

Could Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks hold interest in signing troubled free-agent center Andrew Bynum?

ESPN.com is reportng that after many false starts and slip-ups, even Bynum's camp now realizes his once promising career is on life support and "if anyone can get him back on track," it's the newly minted Knicks president of basketball operations and legendary head coach.

Jackson and Bynum's history dates back to their days in L.A. when the Lakers won back-to-back titles beginning in 2008 and 7-foot, nearly 300 pound center averaged 15 points, and eight rebounds over those seasons. Bynum's best NBA season also came with the Lakers in 2011-12 when he averaged 18.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. 

The 26-year-old Bynum played in just 26 games this season for the Cavs and the Pacers, averaging 10 points and seven rebounds overall before being shelved for the year after appearing in just two games with Indiana.

In his short time on the job, the 68-year-old Jackson has displayed a fondness for reconnecting with those with whom he has had previous relationships. He recently signed former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award winner and fellow Laker Lamar Odom and spent several weeks courting former Bulls player Steve Kerr for the team's head coaching job.

Jackson is also rumored to interested in replacing point guard Raymond Felton with Steve Blake, another player he previously coached while in L.A.
