Dwyane Wade Stats: LeBron James Sidekick Playing Well In East Finals, 'I'm Not 40-Something' [VIDEO]

Dwyane Wade doesn't believe he deserves what he's been getting.

Word of Wade's demise have now been running rampant for several seasons, and each time the Miami Heat star guard has seemed to prove all the naysayers wrong, rarely ever more so than in this year's postseason.

The 32-year-old Wade sat out 28 of the Heat's regular season games this season to save himself for moments like he's had over the last two games of the Eastern Conference Finals, where he and LeBron James have combined to lead the defending champs to back-to-back victories over the rival Pacers. Wade is scoring over 24 points per game in the series to go with 4.3 assists.

"I don't know why," Wade said to Fansided.com in response to people questioning his resiliency. "I think I've been good for the game. I don't know why anybody would want to get me out of here. I don't know. I have noticed that. And they're quick to move me out of the way. But, you know, it just makes the story better. I mean, I'm only 32 years old. Like Chris Bosh, it's not like I'm 40-something. So, I don't know. I guess it's just the way they want to do me."

Against the Pacers, Wade has averaged 24 points, four assists and three rebounds while shooting a sizzling 62 percent from the field. As the series opened, Wade had the added motivation of having heard Pacers' guard Lance Stephenson boast about how he planned to run the veteran guard until his chronically bad knees "flared up."

Wade has declined to directly address Stephenson's comments. Just as well for the Heat, his play is saying plenty enough.
