Ronda Rousey Next Fight: SummerSlam 2014 Appearance For 'Rowdy' After UFC 175 Bout vs. Alexis Davis? [VIDEO]

Ronda Rousey is unquestionably one of mixed martial arts' brightest stars-but could a future in WWE be around the corner? Rumor has it that Rousey may appear at WWE's Summer Slam in August, about a month after she faces off with Alexis Davis at UFC 175.

Alexis Davis bashes Rousey for mocking "Cyborg" Justino

Rousey is a known fan of WWE, and the UFC has a history of crossover with pro wrestling. Currently Brock Lesnar is one of the company's biggest stars, and ended the Undertaker's historic winning streak at WrestleMania. Previously, mixed martial arts legends like Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn figured prominently on WWE programming, and even more recently Bobby Lashley was also a regular.

While Rousey could appear at the pay-per-view, it is unlikely she'd be allowed to compete while still under contract. This is all just conjecture as well, as Rousey has made clear she's focused solely on Davis and UFC 175.

Miesha Tate says Rousey-Cyborg fight "must happen"

"The only thing I care about is beating Alexis," Rousey said in response to questions about whether promotion for her upcoming movies The Expendables and Fast and Furious 7. She's had some words for Davis as well, choosing to engage her July opponent rather than discuss her film roles.

Rousey called out Davis for criticizing her penchant for trash talking by saying, "Alexis, can you cite one thing I've said about you?" She also hinted that fans can expect a different Rousey in this fight if Davis puts all her efforts into avoiding the infamous armbar.

Rousey's last fight was her first UFC victory that didn't come via armbar, a scary development for future opponents. "The most intelligent thing I think she could do is try to elbow me whenever I come in for a clinch, push kicks to try to keep me away and knees in middle distance," Rousey said.

"So, I'm kind of more focusing on what she would focus on and working around that, not trying to limit myself to one particular kind of finish."
