Prosecutors appear to have much more evidence against Aaron Hernandez in the double murder case he was formally arraigned on earlier this week than even the Odin Lloyd murder he was originally arrested for.
"Hernandez's lawyers are going to have to find out who the witnesses are and see if they're going to testify,'' Massachusetts defense attorney Michael DelSignore told the SportingNews.com. "They said they had forensic evidence showing that he had possessed the gun, and evidence and testimony that he pulled the trigger. They recovered the weapon and they recovered the car. It seems like they had a witness who was close to him the entire night and described everything that went on.''

The 24-year-old Hernandez pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to the June 2012 drive-by slayings of Safir Furtado and Daniel de Abreu outside a Boston nightclub, which police now say were triggered by one of the men accidentally spilling a drink on the former New England Patriots star tight end and not apologizing.

In weighing the evidence prosecutors have publicly revealed in each of the cases, DelSignore added of the Lloyd investigation "they don't really have a lot of detail like that." Police have speculated Hernandez may have killed Lloyd because of his knowledge about other violent crimes the former Florida star is suspected of having been involved in.
Since being jailed in the Bristol County Jail, Hernandez has also been charged with threatening to kill a prison guard and his family. The former NFL vet was also briefly moved to a more secluded area of the prison after savagely beating another inmate while the man was still handcuffed.
