Dan Marino Suing NFL: Dolphins Legend Joins Concussion Lawsuit, Becomes Face of Disgruntled Ex Players [VIDEO]

Dan Marino has always believed that concussions are just a work place hazard and were part of football, but it seems he's has had a change of heart as he has filed suit against the NFL.

Marino has joined thousands of former NFL players in their claim that the NFL knew the effects of concussions on the human body. Marino’s name being attached to this lawsuit is huge news for the players as no previous player tied to the suit carried the weight that Marino’s name does.

According to the lawsuit, Marino along with his fellow former players, believe the NFL withheld information about the consequences of concussions and constant impact on the human body.

“Marino and the other 14 plaintiffs join more than 4,800 others who have alleged the NFL misled players about the long-term dangers of concussions. The NFL has denied those claims.”

Take into account the common perception of the players that are seeking money from the league, Marino is far and beyond the opposite of this perception. Marino was an all-time great that has plenty of money remaining from his playing days, so what does the NFL have to say about his claim?

It’s unknown what Marino’s longterm impact will be on this lawsuit, but the immediate reaction is that the players scored a major “victory” and will finally be able to put a face to their claim. Marino could easily become the player that leads the charge against the NFL in spirit.
