Fedor Emelianenko Sexist Comments: Ronda Rousey's Idol Rips Female MMA [VIDEO]

Ronda Rousey once called Fedor Emelianenko her idol, and claimed she wanted to have "57 babies" with the ex-mixed martial arts legend. She may reconsider that stance after reading recent comments Fedor made regarding women in MMA.

Could Rousey be at WWE's SummerSlam?

"I respect the girls who defend the country's honor at the Olympics. In wrestling, boxing," Emelianenko said. "But I do not support female MMA. A woman must raise her children and be feminine. There are a lot of different sports which help her in that. But MMA is not one of them."

The UFC, and president Dana White are lucky that the majority of mixed martial arts fans disagree with Fedor's assessment of women in the octagon, and his comments are sure to disappoint Rousey, the top woman in the sport.

Miesha Tate: Rousey vs. Cyborg "must happen"

In January Rousey said, "He was like my first real exposure to MMA...I never really thought of [MMA] as a real thing until a couple years ago. A friend of mine showed me a Fedor Emelianenko highlight and it just blew my mind...so he's always been my image of what MMA is supposed to be."

Rousey would be best suited to look past Fedor's remarks, as she's not only made herself one of UFC's top stars, she launched a burgeoning movie career. She also has a big fight coming up in July with Alexis Davis, who isn't a fan of Rousey's talkative tendencies.

"It's all karma," Davis told Fox Sports. "Karma is going to come right back at you. ... That's why I'm going to win the belt. Karma is going to come back to her."

That will be tough talk to back up, as Rousey's undefeated in the UFC. Her repertoire is expanding as well; her first eight victories came via armbar, but she was able to top Sara McMann in her last fight with vicious knees to the body.
