The Astros beat the Diamondbacks 4-3 on Monday.

Brad Peacock (2-4, 4.82 ERA) toes the rubber for Houston while Arizona counters with Bronson Arroyo, who is 5-4 with a 4.50 ERA.

Arroyo, who starts for the 26th time in his career against the Astros, was staked to a big lead in his last start against the Colorado Rockies and couldn't use his curveball.

"I threw a lot of fastballs today, stayed away from the breaking ball because it's hard to make it move here," Arroyo said afterward via MLB.com. "I probably threw two-thirds fastballs, which isn't usual for me."

The Astros hope to have outfielder George Springer in the lineup after he was scratched from Monday's game with a sore right knee.

"It all depends on how he feels [Tuesday]," Astros manager Bo Porter said per MLB.com. "He was able to get treatment all day [Monday], and we'll come here [Tuesday] and see how he feels and go from there."

Springer is hitting .251 with 12 homers and 35 RBIs this season.

Houston second baseman Jose Altuve leads the MLB in hits (88) and is second in stolen bases (24) and is fifth in the American League with a .320 average along with two homers and 22 RBIs while ranking third with 20 doubles. Outfielder Dexter Fowler is second in the AL with a .397 on-base percentage.

Diamondbacks first baseman Paul Goldschmidt leads the MLB with 24 doubles and ranks second in the National League in RBIs (47), runs (47), hits (78) and total bases (138).
