San Francisco 49ers Rumors: Colin Keapernick's New Deal Influencing Cam Newton, Andy Dalton in Negative Way? [VIDEO]

With Colin Kaepernick receiving his brand new deal and setting the pace for the next wave of signal callers, it’s time to hear the reactions of the quarterbacks that are due for new deals. The Bengals’ Andy Dalton and Panthers’ Cam Newton are two of those quarterbacks looking for new deals.

Newton believes that his contract situation will work itself out and isn't worried about his deal compared to Kaepernick’s. His focus is to get healthy and continue to make progress for the Panthers.

"I'm not terrified of anything,''

"For me, that's the last thing on my mind,'' Newton said. "The first thing is trying to get little anky right. I'm not worried about no money. I'm not worried about things I can't control.’’

Andy Dalton on the other hand has himself a much more dire situation when it comes to a new contract. Dalton has been very good during the regular season, but in all of his playoff appearances he switches gears into a player who looks completely lost. The 2013 season was no different as he saw glory slip away once again in his miserable preformance against the San Diego Chargers.

"You have to have confidence in yourself that you're going to be able to do things and that's what he did," Dalton told ESPN.com following a pre-minicamp news conference. "He's confident enough where he's going to be able to play out the whole contract and he's going to be able to earn everything.

"So for me, I feel the same way. I feel confident with what I'm able to do.”

With Kaepernick setting the bar on the next wave of quarterback contracts, the likes of Newton, Dalton, Russell Wilson, Nick Foles and others is up in the air until they sit down at the negotiation table.
