"I think it's definitely the right thing to do," Georgia State coach Ron Hunter told ESPN. "Emotionally for the kid. Physically, he's fine. But this will be a huge weight lifted off his shoulders."

Ware played in nine games for the Cardinals last season, averaging just two points, before deciding to seek a medical redshirt and transfer. After several months of haggling, the Atlanta native settled on Georgia State where he will have two years of eligibility remaining.

At Georgia State, Ware is expected to be a part of one of the country's most versatile backcourts, teaming with Kentucky transfer Ryan Harrow and R.J. Hunter from last year's 25-win NIT-qualifying team.

Ware is expected to compete on the Georgia State team that will travel to Central America later this summer to play at least four games."It's one of the main reasons we did this trip," Hunter said. "So he can play."

"We want him to be more aggressive and get back to the old Kevin Ware," Ron Hunter told ESPN. Ware's best season at Louisville came during his somphomore season when he palyed in 37 games, averaging 16 minutes and five points a game.
