WWE Battleground 2014 Rumors: Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton And Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose Rumored For July PPV [VIDEO]

With the WWE Universe still digesting the results of the 2014 Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday night, the WWE storylines will trek into July and the Battleground pay-per-view on the 20th live from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida. Two matches have been heavily rumored for the show.

Preview And Possible Spoilers For WWE Monday Night RAW

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, local advertising has a match pitting Randy Orton against Roman Reigns and another contest between Dean Ambrose and "Mr. Money in the Bank" Seth Rollins for the show at the end of next month.

Other Superstars advertised to appear are John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Kane, Rob Van Dam, Sheamus, Cesaro, Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, Bad News Barrett and Kofi Kingston. It remains to be seen what Cena's role will be now that he is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but he had been feuding with Wyatt before winning the title and its possible that their feud could spill over to the July event.

The Undertaker Unlikely To Compete At WrestleMania 31

Cena is expected to hold the title until SummerSlam at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Aug. 17 where he is expected to face Brock Lesnar, who is coming off of ending The Streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX. Lesnar is rumored to go over Cena and then lose the title back to him or someone else Sept. 21 at Night of Champions.

There were reports surfacing that the WWE had been planning on a triple threat match between Orton, Reigns and Cena for the title at Battleground, but it's unknown at this time if the company will decide to go with that match as it was a scenario only if Orton ended up leaving Boston as champion Sunday night.

There has also been some speculation that the planned Reigns vs. Triple H match at SummerSlam may be pushed to September's Night of Champions pay-per-view in order to shore up some WWE Network subscriptions as early subscribers will have to renew their subscriptions in September and the WWE wants a big match to get its fans invested in re-upping with the network.

According to the reports, if that were the case, the WWE would then bump the Reigns and Orton clash another month to SummerSlam and have Reigns face Kane at the Battleground event in Florida.

Rollins and Ambrose are expected to continue their feud because they haven't had a singles match since Rollins turned on Reigns and Ambrose earlier this month, so the blow off to that feud should occur at Battleground.

The plans are up in the air, but as recently as this weekend it appeared as though the WWE was set to have Orton battle Reigns and Rollins clash with Ambrose, while an opponent for Cena for the gold is unknown at this time.
