Chicago Bulls Rumors: Derrick Rose Won't Lure Carmelo Anthony, Recruiting Isn't His 'Job' [VIDEO]

It’s been two years since we have seen Derrick Rose at the top of his game and he has been very vocal that he wants more talent on the Bulls when he returns. However, Rose believes that it isn't his job to recruit players and will not involve himself in the recruitment of Carmelo Anthony.

Rose spoke to Yahoo Sports and said that he can play with anyone, but it isn't in his job description to seek these players out.

"My thing is if they want to come, they can come," Rose said.

When specifically asked about the possibility of Anthony joining the Bulls and providing some much needed offense Rose said he is interested in his help.

"I love Melo's game," Rose said. "He's a great player. Takes the game serious. He's consistent. He shoots the ball great. I love his heart.

"I can play with anybody, no matter who it is. I believe I can play with anyone if they step on the court with me.”

Rose expects to be ready for the start of the 2014-15’ NBA season, but was uncertain about his status for the USA Basketball's training camp that starts July 28. Rose has only played in 10 game the last two years and 49 in the last three due to his various injuries that includes major surgery on his knees.

If Rose wants the Bulls to get back into contention as fast as possible it might be in his best interest to swallow his pride and hit the campaign trail. Carmelo Anthony’s first stop on his free agency tour is to Chicago.
