Philadelphia Eagles Rumors: Lane Johnson Suspended Four Games for PED's; Eagles to Seek Free Agent Help at Tackle? [VIDEO]

Philadelphia Eagles 2013 first round pick Lane Johnson has been suspended four games by the NFL for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.  Neither Johnson nor the Eagles has commented on the situation of yet, but he is expected to appeal.

This news is devastating for the Eagles as they have close to no offensive line depth and Johnson was arguably their best lineman in 2013. Johnson started all 17 games for the Eagles, including Philadelphia’s playoff loss against the New Orleans Saints.

Fresh off a three-year contract extension, Allen Barbre is expected to replace Johnson in the four games. Dennis Kelly, Matt Tobin and Michael Bamiro could also be considered in the event that Barbre doesn't pan out even.

The four game suspension will cost Johnson $116,470 or four game checks of his $495,000 2014 salary. Johnson was a part of a greatly improved eagle offensive line that led the way for breakout seasons for both LeSean McCoy and Nick Foles, but now there will be a little shake up for the first quarter of the season.

The Eagles' first four games are against Jacksonville, Indianapolis, Washington and San Francisco.
