The story of day 9 of Wimbledon is how we lost No. 3 Andy Murray in straight sets to No. 11 Grigor Dimitrov. Murray looked to return to the Wimbledon final but fell just two matches short.
No. 1 Novak Djokovic, No. 4 Roger Federer and No. 3 Simona Halep all continued their dominance as they advance to the semifinals. Halep will meet No. 13 Eugenie Bouchard in the semifinal match with the winner advancing to play the winner of Lucie Safarova v. Petra Kvitova.
Day 10 of the tournament will give us only the woman’s semifinals matches while the men won’t play until Friday. Halep has a golden opportunity to take advantage of the depleted field and take home a Wimbledon title.
