Miami Dolphins Rumors: Dion Jordan Suspended for Steroids; Fins Want To Trade Former Third Pick? [VIDEO]

Miami Dolphins' defensive end Dion Jordan was suspended four games by the NFL for violating the leagues policy on performance-enhancing substances. The Dolphins traded up in the 2013 NFL Draft to select Jordan with the No. 3 pick overall.

In his rookie season, Jordan posted a dissapointing 26 tackles and two sacks in very limited playing time. Jordan had spoken this offseason of how he added 17 pounds of muscle to his frame in light of the Dolphins having concerns with his strength in 2013.

Dolphins coach Joe Philbin spoke about the suspension and expressed his disappointment with Jordan.

"We were disappointed to learn about Dion's suspension," Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said. "Dion has accepted responsibility for his actions and is committed to improving, both on and off the field, in preparation for the upcoming year.”

Jordan also released a statement in which he took full responsibility for the positive test and asked for forgiveness from the Dolphins and the fans. Jordan was not expected to be a starter for the Dolphins in 2014, but would be counted on as a key backup behind starters Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon.

Jordan was also the subject of trade talks before the 2014 NFL Draft and was almost dealt to the Philadelphia Eagles for Brandon Graham. Many thought Jordan would be able to have a rebound season with the Eagles seeing how head coach Chip Kelly coached Jordan in college where he had massive success.
