Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Donovan McNabb Slams Jason Garrett; 2014 Coach's Last Season in Big D? [VIDEO]

Being a former Philadelphia Eagle, Donovan McNabb has been trash talking the Dallas Cowboys for years. Even now as a Fox Sports analyst, McNabb couldn't resist an opportunity to call out his former rival’s head coach.

Four Teams Call Texans About Andre Johnson

During a recent episode of Fox Sports News, McNabb spoke about Cowboys' head coach Jason Garrett and said that he should had been fired years ago. McNabb pointed out Garrett’s career as a backup quarterback and his inability to win close games as an Achilles heal that should had lead to his firing.

“I’m still figuring out how [Garrett] still has a job at this particular point the way we have continued to see this team just continue to crumble,” he said. “He was behind Troy Aikman and he was behind Dan Marino, too. [Garrett was never behind Marino]. You’re behind hall of famers and you see how they carry the two-minute offense. He’s run the two-minute offense himself as a starting quarterback. The way that they control their offense in certain games, how can you lead games in the middle of the third quarter and you end up losing the game?”

Garrett became the Cowboys’ head coach in 2010 after years of being the heir apparent to Wade Phillips. With Garrett at the helm, the Cowboys have a record of 29-27 and have never made a playoff appearance. Phillips went 34-22 in his three-plus seasons with Dallas before being replaced by Garret midseason.

Richard Sherman Slams Michael Crabtree, Again

The Dallas Cowboys have finished 8-8 for three straight seasons and many believe Garrett will be fired if the team does not make the playoffs in 2014. The Cowboys are entering 2014 after an offseason that saw them lose defensive studs DeMarcus Ware and Jason Hatcher. Even with the two defensive lineman, the Cowboys ranked last in yards allowed per game (415.3) and 26th in points allowed (27.0).

Fellow Fox Sports analyst and future NFL Hall of Famers Randy Moss and Brian Urlacher also didn’t think much of Garrett as the Cowboys’ head coach.
