Brazil is set to take on the Netherlands today in the match to determine third place in the 2014 World Cup. Third place in the World Cup is typically a great accomplishment, but for Brazilian fans however, a victory today will be bittersweet at best. If they lose, they’ll probably look like injured star Neymar’s girlfriend Bruna Marquezine after this fan experienced some flatulence in front of her.
Indeed today’s matchup will be played with a cloud over it after Brazil was bludgeoned by Germany 7-1 in the semifinals as the tournament’s hosts. That game was played without Thiago Silva, crucial to Brazil’s defense, because of an inane yellow card that led to his suspension. They were also without Neymar, who sustained a fractured vertebrae in the quarterfinals for which the Colombian player who injured him went unpunished.
All of Brazil was frustrated with the result, and Neymar’s agent even went on a furious verbal tirade against Brazil’s embattled coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Wagner Ribeiro’s list of “requirements” to coach Brazil contained scathing criticisms of Scolari’s entire career.
1. Go manage Portugal and not win anything.
2. Go to Chelsea and get fired.
3. Go manage Uzbekistan.
4. Come back to Brazil, take control of a big team, and demote it back to the second division
5. Ask to quit 56 days before the end of the league to escape demotion.
6. Be an old jerk, arrogant, repulsive, conceited, and ridiculous.
The loss of both Silva and Neymar were obviously critical to their stunning defeat vs. the Germans, but if Ribiero’s thoughts are in line with the rest of Brazil’s supporters, then it may not be long before Scolari is canned.
